Spooky Witchs Brew - featured image

A festive, tangy-sweet Halloween punch made with cranberry and apple juice, finished with lemon-lime soda and ginger ale for a fizzy, spooky purple drink that is perfect for parties.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups (480 ml) Cranberry Juice Cocktail
  • 2 cups (480 ml) Apple Juice
  • 1 liter (approx. 4 cups) Lemon-Lime Soda
  • 1 can (12 oz) Ginger Ale
  • 2 tablespoons (30 ml) Fresh Lemon Juice
  • Plenty of Ice Cubes
  • Dry Ice (Optional, for fog effect)

Instructions

  1. Chill all ingredients (juices and sodas) beforehand to ensure the punch stays cold.
  2. In a large punch bowl, combine the cranberry juice and apple juice. Stir gently to blend.
  3. Pour in the fresh lemon juice. Taste and adjust sweetness or tartness if necessary.
  4. Just before serving, slowly pour in the lemon-lime soda and ginger ale to maintain carbonation. Stir gently once more.
  5. Fill the bowl with ice cubes. If using dry ice, place it in a separate sturdy container and float it in the punch for safety; never drop dry ice directly into the drink.
  6. Serve immediately in clear glasses, garnishing with lemon slices or edible flowers if desired.

Notes

Add carbonated ingredients (soda and ginger ale) only right before serving to prevent the punch from going flat. The non-carbonated base can be made up to 2 days in advance and stored in the refrigerator. If using dry ice, handle with tongs and never consume it directly. For a lower sugar option, use unsweetened cranberry juice and sugar-free soda.
