Ingredients

  • Prosciutto di Parma, thinly sliced
  • Soppressata salami, cut into strips
  • Smoked sausage, sliced into rounds
  • Aged Gouda, cubed
  • Brie or Camembert, whole wheel
  • Sharp Cheddar, grated or cubed
  • Goat cheese log, rolled in herbs
  • Fresh cranberries, rinsed and dried
  • Dried figs, halved
  • Walnuts, toasted
  • Almonds, raw
  • Grapes, red and green
  • Water crackers, plain or herb-flavored
  • Sourdough bread, sliced
  • Honey, for drizzling
  • Whole grain mustard

Instructions

  1. Wash and dry fresh cranberries thoroughly to remove moisture.
  2. Slice meats into strips or folds and cut hard cheeses into cubes or slices.
  3. Toast walnuts in a dry pan for 3-5 minutes until fragrant, then let cool completely.
  4. Place the wheel of Brie in the center or slightly off-center as an anchor item.
  5. Add bowls for dips or olives and place large chunks of cheese and folded prosciutto to create a framework.
  6. Fill in gaps by arranging sliced meats around cheeses, clustering grapes and dried figs, and scattering fresh cranberries and nuts.
  7. Place crackers and bread slices around the edges or in empty spaces, stacking for height.
  8. Drizzle honey over cheeses and nuts and add a small bowl of whole grain mustard.
  9. Garnish with fresh rosemary or thyme sprigs for a festive touch.
  10. Serve at room temperature for best flavor.
