These no-bake peanut butter protein balls are a quick, nutritious snack made with simple pantry ingredients. They come together in just five minutes and are perfect for meal prep, post-workout refueling, or a healthy treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup (240g) creamy peanut butter
  • 1 ½ cups (135g) rolled oats
  • ⅓ cup (110g) honey
  • ⅓ cup (60g) chocolate chips
  • 2 tablespoons (14g) ground flaxseed
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ¼ teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine 1 cup creamy peanut butter, ⅓ cup honey, and 1 teaspoon vanilla extract. Stir until smooth and glossy.
  2. Add 1 ½ cups rolled oats, 2 tablespoons ground flaxseed, and ¼ teaspoon salt. Stir until oats are evenly coated and mixture is thick and slightly sticky.
  3. Fold in ⅓ cup chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
  4. For easier rolling, chill the mixture in the refrigerator for 15-20 minutes (optional but recommended).
  5. Using your hands, scoop about 1 tablespoon of the mixture and roll into smooth balls. Place on a parchment-lined baking sheet or plate.
  6. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to firm up.
  7. Transfer to an airtight container and store in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.

Notes

For best texture, use creamy peanut butter like Skippy or Jif. If using natural peanut butter, stir well and add an extra tablespoon of honey. Chilling the dough makes rolling easier. Wet your hands slightly if the dough sticks. Store in the refrigerator for up to two weeks or freeze for up to three months.
