These easy mummy hot dogs with crescent dough wraps are a quick, adorable, and delicious Halloween snack that kids and adults love. Ready in under 20 minutes with just three ingredients, they’re perfect for parties, school events, or spooky movie nights.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 standard-size hot dogs
  • 1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent dough
  • Mustard (for eyes)
  • Cooking spray or parchment paper (optional)
  • Everything bagel seasoning (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line your baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone mat.
  2. Unroll the crescent dough onto a clean cutting board. Press the perforated seams together gently to create one large rectangle.
  3. Using a sharp knife or pizza cutter, slice the dough lengthwise into thin strips (about 8 to 10 strips per can). If the dough feels too soft, refrigerate for 5 minutes.
  4. Take one hot dog and wrap a strip of dough around it, leaving small gaps so the hot dog peeks through. Do not wrap too tightly. Tuck the end of the dough under the hot dog to secure. Repeat with remaining hot dogs and dough strips.
  5. Arrange the wrapped hot dogs on the prepared baking sheet, leaving about an inch of space between each.
  6. Bake for 10 to 13 minutes, until the dough is golden brown and flaky and the hot dogs are heated through.
  7. Let the mummy hot dogs cool for 2 to 3 minutes on the baking sheet.
  8. Once cool enough to touch, use a squeeze bottle or toothpick to dot two small mustard eyes on each mummy. Serve immediately.

Notes

For best results, use standard-size hot dogs and thin dough strips. Add mustard eyes after baking to prevent them from disappearing. To keep dough from unraveling, tuck the end under the hot dog. For a make-ahead option, wrap hot dogs up to 24 hours in advance and refrigerate, or freeze unbaked for up to 3 months.
