A creamy, spicy buffalo chicken dip topped with a festive sour cream spider web. Perfect for Halloween, game day, or any party, this quick and easy dip is a crowd-pleaser.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup buffalo wing sauce
  • 1/2 cup ranch dressing
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup green onions, sliced
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
  • 1/4 cup sour cream (for spider web design)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Soften the cream cheese in the microwave for 20-30 seconds if needed.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, buffalo wing sauce, ranch dressing, and 1/2 cup sour cream. Stir until smooth.
  4. Fold in the shredded chicken, 3/4 cup cheddar cheese, and all of the mozzarella cheese. Reserve the remaining 1/4 cup cheddar for topping.
  5. Transfer the mixture to an oven-safe skillet or baking dish and spread into an even layer.
  6. Sprinkle the reserved 1/4 cup cheddar cheese over the top.
  7. Bake for 15-18 minutes, until hot and bubbly.
  8. While the dip bakes, spoon the extra 1/4 cup sour cream into a piping bag or zip-top bag with a small corner snipped off.
  9. Let the dip cool for 2 minutes, then pipe concentric circles of sour cream on top. Use a toothpick to drag lines from the center outward to create a web pattern.
  10. Garnish with sliced green onions and serve immediately with tortilla chips, celery sticks, or carrot sticks.

Notes

For best results, use full-fat cream cheese and shred your own cheese. Let the dip cool for 2 minutes before piping the web. If using a slow cooker, cook on low for 2-3 hours and add the web just before serving.
