Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup (90g) rolled oats
  • 1 cup (240ml) milk (any kind)
  • 1/2 cup (120g) plain Greek yogurt
  • 3 tablespoons (48g) creamy peanut butter
  • 2 tablespoons (10g) unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2 tablespoons (30ml) maple syrup or honey
  • 1 tablespoon (12g) chia seeds (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon (5ml) vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt
  • Optional toppings: sliced bananas, chopped peanuts, dark chocolate chips, extra peanut butter drizzle, flaky sea salt

Instructions

  1. Whisk the cocoa powder into the milk until fully dissolved and no lumps remain.
  2. Add the yogurt, maple syrup, vanilla, and salt. Whisk until smooth.
  3. Stir in the peanut butter until mostly incorporated.
  4. Add the rolled oats and chia seeds (if using). Stir until all oats are coated.
  5. Divide the mixture evenly into jars or containers, leaving about 1/2 inch of space at the top.
  6. Seal the jars and refrigerate for at least 6 hours, preferably 8-12 hours.
  7. Serve cold or warm. If too thick, stir in a splash of milk. Add desired toppings before serving.

Notes

Always dissolve cocoa powder in milk first to avoid dry pockets. Use room temperature ingredients for better absorption. Do not over-sweeten; the oats will taste less sweet when cold. For a faster method, add all ingredients to a jar and shake vigorously for 30 seconds after dissolving cocoa powder. Stir peanut butter well before measuring. Leave toppings off until serving to maintain texture.
