A quick and easy no-cook breakfast made with rolled oats, ripe banana, creamy peanut butter, and milk. Perfect for busy mornings—just mix, refrigerate, and grab-and-go.

Ingredients

Scale
  • ½ cup (50g) rolled oats (old-fashioned oats)
  • 1 medium ripe banana
  • 2 tablespoons (32g) creamy peanut butter
  • ⅔ cup (160ml) milk of choice (whole, oat, almond, etc.)
  • 1 tablespoon (15ml) maple syrup or honey (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon (12g) chia seeds (optional)
  • Pinch of salt
  • Optional toppings: sliced banana, extra peanut butter drizzle, chopped peanuts, dark chocolate chips, cinnamon

Instructions

  1. In a mason jar or airtight container, mash the peeled banana with a fork until mostly smooth with a few small lumps.
  2. Add peanut butter and maple syrup or honey. Mash and stir together with the fork until it forms a thick paste.
  3. Pour in the milk and stir vigorously until the banana-peanut butter mixture is fully dissolved into the milk.
  4. Add rolled oats, chia seeds, and a pinch of salt. Stir until the oats are fully coated and submerged.
  5. Seal the container and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight (8-12 hours).
  6. In the morning, stir well. If too thick, add a splash of milk. Top with desired toppings and serve cold or microwave for 30-45 seconds for warm oats.

Notes

For best texture, use rolled oats and let sit overnight. The oats get creamier on days 2-3. Store in the fridge for up to 5 days. Do not freeze. If using quick oats, reduce milk to ½ cup and refrigerate for only 2-4 hours.
