This creamy caramel apple cheesecake dip is a quick and easy dessert that comes together in under 10 minutes. It features a smooth, tangy cheesecake base with sweet caramel and crunchy toffee bits, perfect for dipping fresh apple slices.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened to room temperature
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup whipped topping, thawed (like Cool Whip)
  • 1/3 cup caramel sauce, plus more for drizzling
  • 1/3 cup toffee bits, plus more for garnish (Heath bits work great)
  • 23 medium apples, sliced (mix of sweet and tart varieties like Honeycrisp and Granny Smith)
  • Optional: 1/8 teaspoon cinnamon
  • Optional: 1 tablespoon milk (if you need to thin the dip slightly)

Instructions

  1. Soften the cream cheese: Take cream cheese out of fridge 30 minutes before starting. If forgotten, cut into small cubes and let sit for 10-15 minutes, or microwave in 10-second bursts until just soft.
  2. Beat the cream cheese: In a medium mixing bowl, beat softened cream cheese with an electric mixer on medium speed until smooth and creamy, about 1-2 minutes. Scrape down sides of bowl halfway through.
  3. Add powdered sugar and vanilla: With mixer on low speed, gradually add powdered sugar and vanilla extract. Beat until fully combined and smooth, about 30 seconds.
  4. Fold in whipped topping: Gently fold in thawed whipped topping using a rubber spatula until just combined, with no white streaks remaining.
  5. Add caramel and toffee: Gently fold in 1/3 cup caramel sauce and 1/3 cup toffee bits. Reserve a little of each for topping. Stir in cinnamon if using.
  6. Chill (optional but recommended): Transfer dip to serving dish, cover, and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to let flavors meld and texture set.
  7. Garnish and serve: Just before serving, drizzle remaining caramel sauce over top and sprinkle with reserved toffee bits. Arrange apple slices around dip and serve immediately.

Notes

For best texture, ensure cream cheese is at room temperature. Use a thick caramel sauce to prevent runny dip. Don’t overmix whipped topping to keep dip light and fluffy. Dip can be made up to 24 hours in advance; add garnish just before serving. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Not recommended for freezing.
